July Ipsy Bag-Love It or Leave It?

I have always been obsessed with delivery subscriptions: Blue Apron, Hello Fresh, Fabletics, Just Fab… I’ve tried so many! There’s just something about paying a small fee and having stuff delivered to my door that makes me so happy. I feel like I save so much money doing subscriptions too because, if I go in the store, I will always find more stuff that I “need” (you should see my most recent Sephora receipt… yikes!)

Ipsy has always intrigued me, but for some reason I never signed up until this past June. The first Glam Bag I received was in July. It included some great goodies, but I am still confused about that fried egg on the bag???

IBY Beauty Crease Brush

I am no eyeshadow expert, but thanks to tons of YouTube tutorials, I feel like I’m getting better and better. My most favorite eyeshadow brush (like, I’m obsessed) is the MaskcarafileAsset-1 “I Shadow Everything” brush, so I was not very excited to try a new one. The first thing I noticed about this brush was how dense the bristles were. Because of it’s bristles, I discovered that this brush was only good for packing shadow into the crease or outer corner of my eyelid. Meaning, I have to use another brush to blend and apply eyeshadow in the other areas. Because I am a newer mom, I often need to apply my makeup fairly quickly; so I am not a fan that I can’t use one brush for everything if I’m using this IBY one. This is a LEAVE for me.

Chella Eyebrow Cream – Tantalizing Taupe

If you know me, you know my eyebrows are so blonde, they’re almost nonexistent. So, if I don’t fill them in, my makeup look is not complete. I am always searching for the perfect eyebrow-filling product and shade (I have tried pencils, Anastasia Brow Gel, and so many more) – but I may have struck gold with this product! Application is SO easy because the angled brush helps create the perfect natural look, adds volume, and gives you an arch that looks a professional did it (you don’t have to tell anybody you did it in the bathroom mirror – your secret is safe with me)! I also love the cream consistency because it helps the product go on super smooth and it stays put all day! This is definitely a LOVE for me! Get yours here.

Caudalie Vinosource Moisturizing Sorbet

Everyone is always searching for the perfect moisturizer to use on their face. I’ll be honest and tell you that, since I started using Milk Moisturizer, I have fallen in love and haven’t touched another moisturizer for my face. I mean, I haven’t had a breakout in months, so why stop a good thing, right?! However, for reviewing purposes, I still wanted to test this Caudalie moisturizer – so I used it on my elbows, hands, and other drier areas of my skin. It was very light feeling, so it didn’t feel super thick going on and it was very refreshing feeling! After it dried, I did notice it felt a little bit greasy and I hate that! So, for that reason – this is unfortunately a LEAVE for me. Get yours here.

OFRA Cosmetics Eyeshadow – “Gold Rush”

This shade… OMG! It’s gorgeous! This product was definitely a surprise for me because I love my Jaclyn Hill palette and have hardly used any other shadows since I got it back in June, but I used this Gold Rush shadow and I really liked it! It is a pressed powder, so there was no fallout when I applied it and it had great pigment. When I wet my eyeshadow brush and applied it that way, I liked it so much better! Perfect for when you’re feeling extra-glam! This is a LOVE for me! Get yours here.

Tarte Amazonian Clay Waterproof Bronzer

I am so, so sad about this product. I love all things Tarte, and have heard nothing but good things about the newer Amazonian clay line, so I was super excited to try it. When I saw that the bronzer was waterproof, I did a little happy dance – any product that I don’t have to reapply or touch-up… I. Am. Sold. But, when I tested the bronzer on my cheeks, the shade was too dark for me. I’ll admit that I thought about crying for a minute… However, it did apply well and would be great for my tanner friends. This shade didn’t even work when I had a spray tan! So, strictly because of color-matching problems, this is unfortunately a LEAVE for me. Get yours here.

I definitely recommend signing up for Ipsy! It is so worth the money! For $10/month, you can’t beat it. You can sign-up for your very own Ipsy bag HERE!
