Summer will be over before we know it, and I know there’s so many of you trying to fit in a last-minute summer vacay. I’m so excited to partner with Lowcountry Valet & Shuttle Co. to bring y’all a guide to Charleston, SC. Charleston is one of my favorite beach vacation spots and such a gorgeous town – if you haven’t been, you have to go! There is so much to do in this cute historic town… you really can’t go wrong with whatever you choose!
You’ve probably seen pictures before because this row is a tourist attraction for sure. On Rainbow Row, the houses and buildings are all different colors (hence the name), and it is just so fun! It’s so cute and is a wonderful spot to take some pictures.
I would have to say that Charleston has some of the best restaurants of any vacation town
I’ve visited. There are so many options to choose from, and they’re all delicious. Hyman’s Seafood is one of my personal favorites! In the downtown area, there are several restaurants with all types of food: seafood, steaks, sandwiches, and more – however, I recommend making reservations because they fill up fast!
The market is located right downtown, and is one of the most popular for tourists to visit. There is food, home decor, art, jewelry, and so many other vendors that you can visit and shop while you’re there. This historic market has been around since the 1800s, and is a must-see!
There is so much to see in Downtown Charleston, and the best part is, it’s all close together. So, once you’re there, you can pretty much walk everywhere! Whether you’re in Charleston for a couples weekend, business trip, with your family, or a girls’ weekend… it’s nice not to have to worry about transportation. Low Country Valet and Shuttle is located in Charleston, and offers transportation for all of your needs – weddings, executive transportation, limos, airport transfer, charter bus rentals, AND they even have vintage cars/buses that can be used for photoshoots & film! Check out their website HERE and book them for all of your transportation needs – trust me, they’re the best!
The Battery is a beautiful park and the perfect place to relax after all the sightseeing. I’ve seen several pictures of weddings at The Battery and it’s gorgeous. If you are planning a wedding, definitely check it out!
Isle of Palms
Growing up, my Grandad had a beach house in IOP, and it was one of my favorite places to go. Isle of Palms seems like it’s own little section outside of downtown Charleston where all of the tourists are. There’s a beautiful beach, shops, restaurants, and more.
Whether you’re planning your first trip to Charleston or returning because you already love it, I hope this guide helps you have the best vacation ever! If you’ve been to Charleston, tell me some things you love about it in the comments below…
